Every so often I like to send out some new ideas to you, new ideas and ways of being and doing that can lead you - and me - to more expansive and inclusive realities and ways of engaging in the world.

As you know, I'm a "coach" who works with women and men. The work is ultimately about transformation and evolution, and the word "coach" always feels a little trite - as if it doesn't do justice to the spiritual amplitude and beauty that occurs when a mentor and client come together to make change.

It's a sacred experience -  more akin to a spiritual encounter and exchange - a grand journeying, and it has an element of beautiful mystery to it.

Community and PTSD

Understanding the mystery and sacredness of this connection is at the core of what I'm on about. Because for me and the way I live, and the way I mentor and coach, connection is everything.

Connection however, isn't confined in the ways we usually assume: person to person, person to animal, person to community.

My own sense of it is one of relational energy - a series of constellations and forces and ways of being and doing™ļø that aren't so connected to a singular self view of the world.

Perhaps connection is multitudinous, unending, beauteous! And it extends not just into the relationship between you and me as as equal parties, but into everything, including the relationship you have with your own body, with your home, with the plant at the front door, with the tree, the insect on the sill and the cat and the dog sleeping in their beds. With the bacteria and the biome, with the bacillus and the forest baboon.

Connection, trauma and you

Many of you will now be aware of the relationship between the gut biome and the brain -  the old ways of herbs and forest foraging is creeping into the mainstream 21st Century culture. The wealth of knowledge owned by our grandparents and great grandparent regarding food, growing, making and living - knowledge lost by increasingly standardised modes of food production, are being heralded and celebrated once again. This is great for you and great for me.

How exciting!

Yoghurt, Kimchi, Kombucha, ferentation, Mycelium and more are now called to, as medicinal changemakers to the body - seen to enrich us in ways we previously denied. for a few generations there, ...because we couldn't "see what was happening," we didn't know, ignored, and didn't believe....

As western science is turned on its head and returns back to some traditional explorations that call to the wisdom of indigenous cultures, a new moment and possibility arises for people like you and me.

Local markets are returning to neighbourhoods. Growing. Tending to a garden, fostering the hardy growth of a tomato plant on a city balcony. The standardisation processes of the food industry are losing favour a little, and the consciousness is changing - with a degree of urgency too, because of various societal and cultural and community breakdowns we are witnessing globally.

Creating new healing connections

As western science embraces this old-new language of connection - we are given an opportunity to regard and consider the body - my body and your - body in a new way.

Your body is a beautiful system. Your body is an ecosystem that relies on mycelium and teeming microscopic enrichment, on the food you eat and the flowers you breathe in. Your body is constantly changing and shifting, transmuting and working and being and living in an intermingling of communal fireworks that is nothing short of miraculous.

It is a relational system.

In the same way the coaching and client relationship is sacred as a relational system, so too is your body. Sacred. Mysterious. Beautiful.

Today as you go about your day, I invite you to take a moment here and there to rejoice in the magnificent and gorgeousness of this mystery.

You are a mysterious and astounding and wondrous system of constant change. Your body is you. It cannot be separated out from mind, from spirit, from feelings. These are all webs of the same system flowing and teeming through you in a delightful and joyous interplay of dancing individualities and replications and idiosyncrasies that make you YOU!

Own the poetry of this, here and there today, as you go about your day.

Own all that you are.

Here on Arapito Farm, from my coaching realm and from my workspace I'll do the same.

Much love always,

Camilla x
