Spring is always an exciting time here at Arapito Farm. The winter chill departs and the early ice crinching across the winter grass melts away, replaced by buds, freshness and a little bit of post-hibernation expansion.
Many of you who work with me privately understand how I approach the seasons, so when there is a turn and change it's a big deal and one to celebrate.
Springtime here really does mean new lambs. It also means more calves and the return of migratory birds like the swallows that build their gorgeous mud nests in our potting and implement sheds and also take delight darting and diving our two cats, Miso and Missy! Who says interspecies communication is all about aggression? The swallows and the cats PLAY together. Yes. Seriously.
Some of you will be tipping into Autumn as I write. And others who are in the tropics and subtropics will be experience more of the same hopefully, unless you are in a period of monsoon or rain!
Seasons play an important part in our lives.
I believe connection to the seasons is a beautiful component of lie and one that offers us enormous capacity for internal change. The lessons of nature are central to how we live here, and this in turn feeds into the coaching work and programmes I bring to you.
It's a good thing. Change is a good thing. Beautiful seasonal change is a magnificent experience to behold.
Soon, our region will be a spray of blossom. And the bees will wake and start their work again.
We humans really aren't that different!
