The Paradox Of Self-Creation

Self-creation is an art. 

How are you self-creating?

This morning I looked out the kitchen window and noticed our farm eagle soaring high above the paddocks. It usually circles the farm daily, sighting for wild pukekohe and wild pheasant eggs, or even the plover eggs out towards the neighbour's property.

These small, edible prizes are scattered around the farm, in delicate ground and grass nests. It's a daily reminder of the extraordinarily beautiful and brutal cycles we can choose to live by, if we move into a more attuned way of being and experiencing in the world. (This is what my systemic and integrative and regenerative coaching approaches are partially about.) 

A few days a week, on my face to face days, I work with women around the globe via Zoom, coaching them on the gorgeous, subtle and not so subtle art of self-creation and life realisation.

It's a vocation, a service, an experience and a bodymind trip! And eventually - if the women commit and are consistent  - it follows much the same principle as the soaring eagle, the tiny nests with their precious cargo of eggs, and the sway of the slipstreams and the elements.

How You Begin

But interestingly, women usually begin their approach with me quite differently.

Do you relate to this? They mostly find out about my work either by word of mouth or through the website or via social media (FB Instagram, TikTok etc...)

Most often, they also start out on their free Discovery Call, with a "list of things" they want to achieve or a list of issues they want to resolve and change about their current circumstances and their way of interacting systemically with the world. 

It's actually a very gorgeous and sweet and tender and loving place to start.

And it is exactly where you want to start too. It is SO SO good to start here...or wherever! 

But this is only a small portion.... 

We all love a good list, and a good map. But really...

Is that the key to change? And to self-creation?  Hmmmm....

What sits right with you regarding this and what doesn't?

Change as an experience and a phenomenon is a fascinating realm. There are so many modes and types, scents and flavours and incarnations. And wanting to change is often an exciting and miraculous and even difficult prospect.

Heading Into Jungle Terrain

It can involve considerable surrender and even battle/commitment on your part, as you move through both enjoyable and also thick, difficult terrain. It's not all flourishes and flowers...although these are on offer every step of the way, if we - and specifically you - know how to incorporate that  (you learn how to with me,) and you allow yourself to stop, pause and immerse yourself in the process.

Resistance will also be a part of the process. 

And how you choose to attend to that...how you choose to allow it and be with it...will be very significant.(How will you deal with it when it arrives? What will you do? What would you like to do differently with it, while working with me? These are questions to consider along with the depth and richness of your beautiful commitment.) 

Cartographer of The Soul™

And while self-creation and life creation is often described as "a journey" for convenience's sake.... it is a journey of great richness and complexity, often far more of a poetic undertaking than the simple traverse from Point A to a conceptualised Point Z.

It can and will indeed lead you to miraculous and even magical life destinations if you allow and aim for that. 

So yes...it is a journey of sorts. And also paradoxically different.
